So, 2009 is coming to a close, and 2010 is right around the corner. A lot of people are making lists of their favorite things from 2009, but I thought it’d be fun to take a look ahead. There are a lot of great movies coming out in the upcoming year, so let’s take a look at my Top Ten for 2010!

Geeking Out: Marron’s Top Ten Marvel Stories

In honor of Marvel’s 70th birthday, I thought I’d share some of my favorite stories that I’ve read during my years of Marvel fandom. I’m not talkin’ about any of that Civil War/Secret Invasion stuff, either! I’m talking about some pretty awesome thing — a few of which aren’t very well known!

With a catalog of over 300 songs, it’s hard to choose 40 songs for The Beatles: Rock Band. There are a few givens, I’m sure; I think we’d be hard pressed not to see things like Hey Jude and Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Maybe Back in the USSR? Or While My Guitar Gently Weeps? On second thought, maybe it’s a little harder to narrow down what those “given” songs are. At any rate, here are the top ten songs that I hope will make the cut; I’d love to rock out to these songs while playing The Beatles: Rock Band:
Geeking Out: Marron’s Top Ten TNG Episodes

I tend to wander the internet like a lost puppy searching for scraps of food. Most of the time, these meanderings through the world wide web start with something simple; a line in a song, the name of an actor, watching a movie, and so forth and so on. Today’s adventure began with with an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation–the second episode ever, to be precise, The Naked Now. Watching this episode took me to Memory Alpha, the cannon Star Trek Wiki, to look at episode synopses and other such things.
Reading the synopsis for the season four episode The Drumhead, I saw it mentioned that this particular episode was one of Michael Dorn’s favorites. When I saw this, I began to think about my own favorite episodes of TNG. I’ve seen every episode multiple times, and there are those that I can easily pick out as my favorites. But, in making a top ten list, it was difficult. There are so many good episodes–and many underrated episodes as well. It was hard to pick just ten episodes, but in the end, it is the job of every geeky fan like myself to compile a list of their favorite episodes of their favorite television series; and, so, here is the list of my top ten favorite Star Trek: TNG episodes.
