Another week, another batch of comics. Unfortunately, we could not get the podcast recorded this week due to an emergency situation, so I’ll be posting my pull list the old school way. We’ll be back with the podcast soon, however, so don’t give up on us!
DarkSakura’s Pull List
Captain Fancypants America: Reborn #6: Even though Cap’s been running around over various other issues of Marvel titles, we finally get to see how he boots the Red Skull out of his skull. I don’t know about you, fair readers, but I’ve been looking at this whole thing as the Tarantino treatment.
New Avengers #61: An attack on Asgard? Really? Really, apparently. This issue is supposed to be the official return of Cap to the Avengers, and just in time for Osborn to do something really stupid, at least to anyone who isn’t him or Loki.
X-Force #23: I’ve been getting into this whole X-Necrosha thing that’s going on. Of course, it makes perfect sense for the killer mutant team to go after another killer mutant team. Very much looking forward to how this plays out.
TPBs
Alias Ultimate Collection Volume 2: As if I wasn’t going to mention my favorite title ever! If this is anywhere near as good as the last bound volume, it’ll be a worthy purchase.
That’s it for today! Keep your eyes on the blog as my review for the comic iPhone app will finally make its appearance and we return for another episode of the podcast. Otherwise, feel free to email us at mailbag@avengerstower.com or contact MarronMarvel or DarkSakura on Twitter!
It’s another week and we’re ready for some more comics! This week, we discuss how the site where I get my pull list from tricked me, our picks of the week, and we have a discussion based on a listener question! We also have a tangent about Star Trek Online, discussion about comic-reading iPhone apps, and we like pie. Pie is delicious.
If you have questions or comments, or a discussion topic that you would like to see featured on the podcast, please feel free to e-mail us at mailbag@avengerstower.com — or else, you can contact either myself or DarkSakura on Twitter. Drop us a line, we’d love to hear from you!

It’s awesome. The end.
…
No, just kidding. I mean, yes, it is awesome, but I’m not going to just leave it at that. STO is a fantastic game so far; of course, it’s still in beta, so they’re ironing out some kinks, but that sort of thing can be very easily forgiven. The game takes place in the original or “pure” Trek universe, as I like to call it, 20 years after the events that led to Spock being thrown back in time and creating the parallel universe occupied by JJ Abrams and other beat-boxing directors (The “countdown” events take place approximately8 years and one month after Nemesis, so STO is 28 years later, give or take a few months).
The universe, as the story goes, is pretty much in chaos. Romulus was destroyed, which means that billions of their people died; not to mention that the Cardassion Union is a big fat mess — and to top things off, the Borg have returned, right in the middle of a war between the Federation and the Klingons.
I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a pretty good set-up story to me.

Editor’s note: A few quick things. First, got my ring colors mixed up; orange is avarice, not yellow. Yellow is fear. My bad! Also, my friend Jorge, whom is mentioned in this week’s episode, has his own blog, “Nice blog… nerd” that you can visit by clicking here.
