There’s a new man in my life.

I never expected to fall in love with the iPad as quickly or as deeply as I did, yet here I am, typing this post out on my iPad as I enjoy a beautiful morning in my back garden. iPaul, as I have dubbed my new love (after Sir Paul McCartney), might very well give my boyfriend a run for his money.

I wracked my brains trying to think of exactly what I wanted to say about Kick-Ass after seeing it on Saturday night. It usually takes me a few days to digest these sorts of things — unlike Jorge (Labrador, Editor-in-Chief of the UNLV Rebel Yell newspaper), who started working on his his thoughtful and well-written review of Kick-Ass almost immediately after we left the theater.

In the end, I’m happy to refer you all to Jorge’s review over writing one of my own — but I still thought I’d add to some of what he said with my own thoughts.

The Iron Man 2 movie is coming out in just under three weeks, and in honor of this, I’ve decided to make Stark-Industries.com e-mail accounts available to the public!

For a limited time! yourname@stark-industries.com, only $5!

I originally bought Stark-Industries.com at the same time as I bought this domain, planning on perhaps dedicating it to a completely Iron Man-related wiki site. Unfortunately, time restrictions and obligations never allowed me to actually do anything with the site, so it lay dormant for a few years now.

Thanks to Gmail, however, I’ve been able to make the site useful. Now, for a limited time, you can purchase a you@stark-industries.com e-mail address for only $15. It’s not just an e-mail address, not just a forwarding account. It’s an actual e-mail account that you can log into and both send and receive e-mails with.

Interested? Click the PayPal button below and make your purchase while they’re available! There’s only one rule: it has to be your name or your nickname, not the name of an existing comic/book/etc character. No tonystark@stark-industries.com, or captain.america@stark-industries.com or bruce_wayne@stark-industries.com and so on. Make sure to put your requested e-mail address name in the instructions on the check out page. If the e-mail you want your information sent to is different from your PayPal account, make sure to include that, too.

When I’ve received your payment, I’ll create your custom you@stark-industries.com e-mail account and send you an e-mail with a temporary password and login information. Did you already get your e-mail address? Head over to http://mail.stark-industries.com to log in!

So, what are you waiting for? Join Stark Industries today and get your own personalized e-mail!

Monday Comic Quick Pick

It’s hard to believe that it’s Monday already! Where does the weekend go? It must have gone by a lot faster than usual thanks to wearing the Flash ring that came with Flash #1.

Anyhow, last week was a pretty great week for comics and this week looks pretty promising, too. Let’s see what Wednesday holds for us this week!

The legacy of Iron Man lives on.

Iron Man is still with us, even if the majority of the comic fandom might hate my favorite cool exec with a heart of steel because of poor writing during Civil War and Secret Invasion. However, a hero doesn’t have to be dead and gone for us to celebrate his or her legacy, as Fred Van Lente aims to prove to us in this first issue of the new ongoing Iron Man Legacy series.
